Google's Ad Makes me Want to Use Their Product

Gizmodo described this ad as “whimsical.” I agree. It is Google’s new ad for its browser, Chrome.

Not a computer in sight.

I am happily using Firefox, but it makes me want to switch to Chrome right now.

Protect your Privacy against Google


Google has recently released a dashboard showing you what it knows about you. It has a lot stored about me because I use a number of services like Youtube, Gmail, Wave and others, but there were a couple third-party applications I had given permissions to that I had either forgotten about or weren’t aware of. I was able to revoke access to them with one click.

If you are concerned about protecting your privacy online, this is definitely something to check out.

What is Google Wave?

Google Wave is an online tool, currently in limited release, for real-time communication and collaboration. Google says, “A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.”
